BERKLINE LIMITED WARRANTY
Recliner Mechanisms
Berkline’s
Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the repair or replacement of the above
listed parts resulting from manufacturing and material defects. This
warranty covers the useful life of the product when used in a normal
manner. This warranty provides coverage to the original consumer
purchaser only and does not apply to rental, business, commercial,
institutional, or other non residential users. Berkline, LLC will pay
the cost of labor, shipping and handling to repair or replace the
defective part(s) for one (1) year from the date of original purchase.
Cushioning
The
seat cushion foam and filling materials are warranted against defective
material or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of
original purchase. During that time, Berkline, LLC will provide a
replacement for the defective part. Labor, shipping and handling
charges, are covered for one (1) year from the date of original
purchase.
All foam and filling composites naturally soften with use. This softening does not constitute a defect under the warranty.
Wooden Frame Parts/Sleeper Mechanisms/Spring & spring Systems/Sleeper Mattresses
The above have a limited warranty against defects for a period of five
(5) years from the date of original purchase. During the first year of
use, the above will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the
purchaser. After the first year of use, the above will be replaced
on a pro-rates basis. Berkline, LLC will pay the cost of shipping and
handling for one (1) year from the date of the original purchase.
Fabrics
The
upholstery fabric used on your furniture has Limited Warranty for one
(1) year from the date of purchase this warranty covers:
• Seam failure
• Fabric separation
• Nap loss
The
Warranty is limited to the repair of replacement of the defective
fabric. Berkline, LLC will pay for the labor costs, shipping and
handling charges for defects covered by the fabric warranty.
The fabric warranty does not cover:
• Piling
• Fading
Leather
A
one (1) year Limited Warranty from the date of original purchase is
provided for repair or replacement of leather parts resulting from
manufacturing or material defects. This warranty also covers labor,
shipping and handling charges for one year.
No two pieces of leather are alike. As such, natural markings and grain variations are not considered defects.
The
Fabric/Leather Warranty does not apply where there is evidence of
excessive soiling, improper cleaning, abuse, or where the fabric or
leather has had a chemical treatment applied by the retail dealer or
consumer. Certain upholstery fabrics carry warranties from their
producers, which supersede this Fabric/Leather Warranty.
Electric Motors and Systems
Electric
motors and electrical systems have a Limited Warranty for one (1) year
from the date of original purchase. During this period, Berkline, LLC
will repair or replace the defective part. Berkline, LLC will pay for
the cost of labor, shipping and handling charges for this same time
period.
All Other Parts
All
other parts not specifically warranted, including but not limited to
hinges, shields, latches, table tops, and drawers have a one (1) year
Limited Warranty resulting from defective material or workmanship.
This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective
part. Under this warranty, Berkline, LLC will pay for the cost of
labor, shipping and handling charges for one year.
Warranty Limitations
The
warranty herein described shall be in lieu of any other warranty,
express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranty
of Merchantability or fitness for a particular use. The parties agree
that Berkline, LLC ‘s sole liability and the purchaser’s exclusive
remedy shall be for the repair, or at Berkline, LLC’s discretion,
replacement of the defective part as provided herein. Not withstanding
the above, if replacement parts for defective materials are not
available. Berkline, LLC reserves the right to make reasonable
compensation in lieu of repair or replacement. Liability for
incidental or consequential damages under the warranty is excluded.
Some states do not allow limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty
gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights,
which vary from state to state.
"After doing lots and lots of research I finally took the plunge and ordered these seats. Originally I had ordered them manual recline, but my sales dude called and told me that they were on back order. Bad news for me. I told him that I was scared of getting electric recline, because these seats were replacing a 16-year old custom leather recliner sectional, and I was afraid that electric recline would not last as long as a manual recline. My sales dude (can't remember his name!), assured me that everything would be ok, and he even got me a 5-year extended warranty if I upgraded to electric... I did! Well horror of horrors, I recieved the Reno's and couldn't get 2 of the chairs to recline, so I called TSS and the person answering told me to look underneath the chairs and ensure everything was properly plugged in (duh!), well after re-securing 2 plugs everything was working fine! I got the 4-chair straight row, and am loving them. They are comfortable, smooth, and everyone that's seen them love them. My friends now fight over who sits where! One thing I noticed each individual chair are not hooked in any way. Now I am not putting them against wall so if kids lean on headrest might fall backwards. Little safety concern. Not a problem if you put it against wall."

Overall great experience buying from these guys - thought they were very informative and actually stopped me from buying the same seat from someone else who offered it cheaper but didn't disclose it was bonded leather instead of top grain. Bonded leather is the lowest quality leather...ground leather mixed with glue and polished to look authentic.....beware out there, ask only for top grain. "

"I did a lot of research on my seating choices so let me share some of that knowledge with you as to what made this the best seat for me. Buying theater seats is important because apart from the fact that it costs almost as much as a second hand car, its something that you are going to be relying on for comfort for years to come. I had a pair of LazyBoy recliners which are nearly 15 years old and look like they were bought yesterday so if you buy quality, they are going to last a long time. Berkline was my choice because after reading all the forums, they by far get the best overall quality review for home theater seating in the US market. Warranty was also a big factor - if I'm spending $5k on seats, I want to know that if something goes wrong there is not going to be a problem fixing them, So once I decided on the manufacturer, it was a question of style, The Berkline Matinee or 45090 was my obvious first choice but this seat is the Matinee and so much more. In fact, its the same base as the 45090 but with a higher back and different armrests. The armrests on this seat have ample storage and a tray table with a slightly higher back which works well for me because I am 6ft tall. As for the price, its hard to beat because this seat is made by Berkline in their Asia facility and with the same warranty as the local product and we all know that Asia produces products at a huge discount to here. The quality on a direct comparison to the Berkline 45090 is, in my opinion exactly the same. Comfort is excellent and I actually had a chance to sit in both seats before I bought them. Maybe my only complaint is that this seat is not available in dark brown but only black and it was the ideal fit for my theater room. If you have questions, ask for Pete....he was very helpful and pleasure to deal with."

This Signature Service level provides an appointment setup at your convenience within a 4 hour time window. A two-man delivery to inside your residence to the room you choose. This service includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold. Once the product is in the room you desire, the shipper will unpack the product and provide basic setup that requires no tools (i.e. will set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other). The shipper will also remove and dispose of all packaging.
