Finally, a recliner that fits. The Rake Beast Faux Leather Big & Tall Recliner is the largest recliner in our lineup, specifically engineered for the big man who demands comfort without compromise. Whether you are taller than average or simply tired of recliners that feel flimsy, the Rake Beast offers a fortress of relaxation.
Heavy-Duty Construction (Rated 500 Lbs)Forget about wobbly arms and sinking seats. The Beast series is built to withstand 500 pounds of everyday use.
Reinforced Frame: Constructed of 1 1/8" hardwood joined by six 2.5-inch lag bolts, doweled joints, and glue.
Indestructible Mechanism: Features a heavy-duty 7-gauge steel mechanism, significantly thicker and stronger than the standard 11-12 gauge steel found in typical furniture.
Superior Suspension: An independent drop-in coil spring system distributes weight evenly, ensuring the seat maintains its shape and support for years.
Dimensions That Actually FitThis is a true "Football Size" chair designed for users up to 83 inches tall (approx. 6'11").
Seat Height: 24" (Standard is ~20") – No more struggling to stand up; your knees stay at a comfortable angle.
Seat Depth: 27" (Standard is ~21") – Provides full thigh support for long legs.
Extended Length: A massive 83" of fully reclined comfort.
Wall Saver Design: Despite its massive size, this recliner slides forward as it reclines, meaning you can place it inches from the wall without sacrificing space.
Choose from our advanced faux leather collections. These high-tech fabrics offer the sophisticated look of genuine leather with improved breathability, durability, and easy cleaning.
2238 Family (Athens): A new super-soft leather-look fabric featuring a wax pull-up effect and weathered embossing. Unlike regular PU which can peel or crack (hydrolysis), Athens uses a high-purity resin liquid roller-coated onto dyed suede. This creates a "muscle layer" that is incredibly durable (30,000 double rubs) and won't peel.
2017 Family (Blade): Designed to capture the sleek luxury of leather in a knit fabric. Composed of 98% polyester and 2% polyurethane, Blade features a leather suede base cloth with a light PU print. It offers the visual appeal and hand-feel of leather with the soft pliability of fabric.
2517 Family (Northwest TC): The perfect marriage of comfort and durability. This fabric bonds a micro-denier polyester suede face to a jacquard woven poly/cotton backing for unique texture. A specialized PU Over-Print effect gives it a soft, leather-like touch with zero risk of hydrolysis (peeling). Available in five earthy colorways (Dove, Camel, Dapple, Stucco, Paloma Grey).
2580 Family (Nubuck): A superb sueded finish with a distressed, aged appearance that is virtually indistinguishable from real nubuck leather. It features gorgeous grain contrasts between lights and darks for a rugged look, backed by an innovative padded material for a supple handle.
2336 Family: A classic, durable Micro Suede cover type that offers a soft, velvet-like texture.
Overall Height: 49.5"
Overall Width: 45.5"

I’m 6’-6” and 280 pounds. I NEEDED an oversized recliner and Sofas and Sectionals DELIVERED in every way! They are freaking awesome and I can’t thank them enough for helping find the PERFECT recliner for me!
A comfortable, sturdy recliner. I got this to replace a power lift from a different brand that wasn't quite as friendly for heavy folks as it advertised itself. This has been heavy duty and comfortable; I use this as bed and computer chair alike, and it's held up to nearly a year's hard effort so far with nary a complaint.
Definitely sturdy and well built. I've loved it so far. I'm 6'3 and about 300lbs and have plenty of room when sitting in this. Though I do wish I had gotten a version that reclines back further for when I feel like sleeping in my recliner it is still great to use as intended. The handle broke during shipping but I received a replacement within a couple weeks. It is lightweight enough that I could bring it inside and set it up myself as well
This is my second Rake recliner. The first is now at my cousin's place, after many years of solid service to me. I only moved on from it because of some small tears in the fabric, which bothered my wife more than me. This is the best big & tall recliner I know of. It's built to last, heavy duty all over, and inside where it counts. Very comfortable and roomy. This is the only recliner I've ever sat in where my feet were on the foot rest, not my ankles. When this one goes (years from now) I'll by another.
I am 6’5 and over 300 pounds. I have never had a chair that is “too big” for me before. I have always managed to make do with something to small and inferior. This chair is huge. It is very well built and the fabric is so tough. I have a 90 pound Great Dane puppy of 7 months and he literally shares this chair with me. It is heavy duty, very well built and will probably be the last recliner I ever buy. Well worth the money.
The Beast is the most comfortable well built recliner that I have ever sat in. I mainly bought this chair because it was extremely well built, firm soft and comfortable. When I sit upright in my feet actually dangling the air , like a little kid. I am 6’3”. My adult son who is 6’8” and 300 lbs is constantly trying to sit in it when we are watching the game. It is the only piece of furniture that I have where I don’t worry about it breaking when he plops down into it and I know he finds it comfortable as he is always napping in it.
I really like this chair, it is the only chair that my feet do not hang over the foot rest. The only problem which is a big problem, this chair is rated at 500 lbs I only weigh 330 and the mechanism keeps wearing out and breaking after one year. I have owned 3 of these chairs but with the cheep mechanism I my not purchase another one.
I love this recliner. I purchased it because I will need a recliner to recover in after some surgeries. I’m 6’3 and 190lbs. I can even lay on my side in it. I got it because it’s the biggest on the market. It’s very well made and is sure to last years, but I got the warranty.
This is our second Rake BEAST Recliner. Still using the original, which is 15+ years old and in good shape. Need this size because spouse is 6'3" and even he looks small in the BEAST. Great product. Great service. Price is worth the quality.
I’m 6'8" and about 330 pounds, and this is the first recliner I’ve owned that truly feels like it fits me the way a recliner should. What really sets it apart is the length: the seat length, leg rest length, and backrest height all finally feel right for someone my size. It’s also plenty wide and very comfortable without feeling overly bulky or unnecessarily oversized. The comfort is excellent. It strikes a great balance between softness and support — not so soft that you sink into it like a beanbag, but not so firm that you get uncomfortable after sitting for a while. It feels great whether I’m sitting upright watching TV and talking with people, or reclined back and taking a nap. The reclining mechanism works very well, and the side arm is smooth, easy to use, and feels solid. I was also very happy with the color, which looked even better in person than I expected from online. I also want to mention that the white glove delivery went very well. The chair arrived on time, the delivery process was smooth, and all packaging and waste were removed, which I really appreciated. As a point of caution, this chair is tall enough that those under about 6'5" may not reach the floor at all in the seated position. I’m a long-legged 6'8", and my feet do touch the floor flat when seated upright, but lightly — it honestly feels like the seat height was made exactly for me. For someone of my height, that is a huge positive. I would even say this chair seems well suited for people pushing or even exceeding 7 feet tall. More than anything, this chair feels like it was genuinely designed for bigger and taller people in the areas that matter most. It’s supportive, comfortable, and feels like an exceptional value for the size and quality you get. Honestly, the only downside at all, in my opinion, is that this exact chair does not come with a power lift option. If it did, my dad would absolutely get one. He’s almost exactly my size, just with more upper-body height than leg height, and he’s turning 80 this year with mobility issues, so a power lift version of this same recliner would be just about perfect for him. Overall, I’m genuinely thrilled with it and would absolutely recommend the Rake Recliner.
