Each frame is made from kiln-dried hardwood (from sustainably-managed U.S. forests) with corner blocks screwed and glued into place. Heavy gauge sinuous steel springs (recycled iron ore) provide the first level of support for the cushions. The cushions themselves are filled with a triple layer of (plant-based) foam padding -“ a firm inner pad with two soft outer pads.
