Mimi End Table

Design and Construction

The frame is premium weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum wrapped in polyethylene synthetic fiber and hand-finished to resemble natural rattan, so it has the look of a vintage rattan piece with none of the seasonal fragility. The quatrefoil motif is the signature of the collection, a nod to the flowers that fill south Florida gardens, and it is worked into the frame rather than applied to it. A clear heat-resistant tempered glass inset sits over the table top, giving a flat, stable surface for a glass while leaving the pattern visible below.

Size and Placement

The 24 inch cube proportion is what makes it flexible. At 24 inches tall it stands above most deep seating cushions, which puts a drink at hand-height rather than at ankle-height, and the 24 inch square top holds a lamp, a tray and a book together. Use a pair at the ends of a Mimi sofa, or float one between two lounge chairs. Given its decorative frame, it also stands alone well beside a doorway or at the end of a porch run.
