Mimi Sofa (Made to order fabrics)

The Mimi sofa by Celerie Kemble is the piece that sets the tone for an outdoor room. Its quatrefoil frame, hand finished to resemble natural rattan, carries the vintage Palm Beach reference that runs through the whole collection, and at 78 inches with 74 inches of seat it holds three people in genuine comfort.

Design and Construction

The frame is premium weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum with a polyethylene synthetic fiber wrap, hand finished in Raffia so the metal reads as natural rattan while performing like extruded aluminum outdoors. The quatrefoil motif worked into the frame is the collection's signature, a nod to the flowers that are part of daily life in south Florida, and it is what makes this outdoor sofa a decorative element rather than a neutral backdrop. At 115 pounds it settles into a room as a fixed anchor.

Comfort and Seating

Seating runs 74 inches wide by 21 inches deep at a 20 inch height, with arms at 23 inches. That combination is worth reading carefully: the 20 inch seat height is close to indoor furniture, so guests sit and rise easily, while the low 23 inch arm keeps the decorative frame visible above the cushion line. Plush seating means the sofa is comfortable for an evening, not just a photograph, and three adults fit across the seat without crowding.
